Chapter One
Alchemy
“Oh, most singular and unspeakable Presence, first and last in the Universe, brighten the fury of my fire and burn away the dross of my being. Cleanse my soiled soul; bathe me in your awesome light. Set me free from my history and cut me loose from my boundaries. Unite me with the One Thing hidden in my life, wherein is my only strength. Fill me with your Presence, allow me to see through your singular Eye, grant me entry to your Mind, let me resonate with your Will. Make me transparent to your flame, and fashion me into a lens for your light only. Transmute me into an incorruptible Stone in your eternal service, like the golden light that surrounds you.”
- Ram Dass, The Alchemist’s Prayer [2].
Alchemy is the science and art of causing change both physically and spiritually. In investigating the separation of nature, alchemy can be divided into two categories, though there really is no division.
Practical alchemy is chemistry, in breaking down, studying, and under-standing the structure of energy, light, sound, matter and dissecting the structure of different forms of matter and how they each relate to one another, as well as the blending and/or manipulation of different types of matter to achieve different effects of transmutation.
Today, alchemy could be compared to chemistry. However, chemistry can be better categorized as a servant of alchemy, as for one, chemistry is separated from the possibility of God and forces that cannot be observed with the standard human eyes.
Spiritual alchemy is chemistry of the soul; transmutation of lead into gold in the spiritual aspect is presented as an analogy for personal trans-mutation, purification, and perfection, highlighting the spiritual nature of the alchemical quest, symbolic of a religious regeneration of the human soul.
It is the process of increasing and improving that which already exists. The transmutation of common metals into gold symbolizes the evolution from an imperfect, diseased, corruptible, and ephemeral state toward a perfect, healthy, incorruptible, and everlasting state, so the philosopher’s stone then represents a mystic key that would make this evolution possible.
Applied to the alchemist himself, the twin goal symbolizes his evolution from ignorance to enlightenment, and the stone represents a hidden spiritual truth or power leading to that goal.
In texts that are written according to this view, the cryptic alchemical symbols, diagrams, and textual imagery of late alchemical works typically contain multiple layers of meanings, allegories, and references to other equally cryptic works; these must be laboriously decoded to discover their true meanings. And what are to be uncovered are worlds upon worlds inside worlds, all affecting one another.
The arts of the alchemist seem wrapped up in mystery.
Alchemy comprises one of the two oldest sciences known to the world. The other is astrology.
Spiritual alchemy is, in part, a rising above the aspects of man and embracing the hue (light), transcending the aspects of man through transmutation and refinement.
Understanding the basic alchemy (chemistry make-up) of the uni-verse may awaken the desire to learn and understand alchemy of the soul (spirit). As I stated before, these are two parts of a whole; there is no separation. We have expansion or evolution of the physical matter world, and we have expansion of spiritual growth, expanding and de-velopment of the soul or spiritual DNA.
A prized symbol of alchemists is the philosopher’s stone.
I will show you why it is prized and some of what truths it holds.
The Philosopher’s Stone:
“Though not a stone, it yet is made a stone. From metal, having three hypostases. For which the stone is prized and widely known: Yet all the ignorant search everywhere. As though the prize were not close at hand. Deprived of honor yet the stone is found. To have within a sacred mystery, A treasure hidden yet free to all.”
- The Poem of the Philosopher Theophrastus
Upon the Sacred Art. [3].
The philosopher’s stone is the symbol of the squared circle, an alchemical symbol illustrating the interplay of four elements of matter as well as depicting the expansion of the known existence though the use of layered circles.
The circle in square, in triangle, in circle represents the micro- to macrocosms, the building blocks of matter and the planes of existence, all together symbolizing the philosopher’s stone. It has a resemblance to a keyhole. A metaphor for this is a ‘KEY’ and is used as a key in multiple ways, one of which being to simply contemplate and meditate on the symbol. Another use is to take the stone and place it on a grimoire as
the cypher, the key.
Nikola Tesla known for saying “If only you knew the magnificence of the numbers 3, 6, 9 then you would have the key to the universe”.
The philosopher’s stone depicts 3, 6, 9 in its triangle. And that triangle is ruling that circle or ‘living cell’, as you will see when we break down 3, 6, and 9. And to do that, we must understand a pattern throughout nature: 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, and 5, and so on. 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5, 1, 2, 4… This pattern continually repeats itself and this is that of the anatomy of the torus. At the root of all forms is a torus.
The torus is the underlying structure of every atom, molecule, cell, crystal, plant, animal, human, planet, solar system, galaxy, universe, multiverse, and the omniverse—which contains all of the above as each torus is nested within and integrated into another, more encompassing torus. This is the nature of the Verse.
In the upcoming chapters, I will be laying it all out in detail to better help you understand and open some new perceptions.
Alchemists of the Middle Ages came up with ways to depict the constitution of the universe through a hermetic language full of esoteric words, phrases, and signs designed to cloak their meanings from those not initiated into the ways of alchemy.
Though this book, you will gain insight into this ancient wisdom, kept highly secret and held highly coveted. And it still is today. Most alchemists who actually ‘know’ would make you figure all this out for yourself, just like I did, and they did.
I respect that, though I do not agree with the coveting or hording of wisdom as I learn to share and am here to be of service. And in service, I hope to speed up and assist in removing some veils you may have.
So, let’s get down to the basics of some divine wisdom. Scholars of occultism believe that their investigations reveal a hidden truth behind the multiverse, and that mastering the implications of this secret can give an adept power over not just mortal life, but also life after death as you can then enter a cycle of reincarnation that allows, over successive cycles of existence and reflection, the complete mastery of body, mind, and soul, opening up new vistas of consciousness and immortality.
These are the wheels and the cogs.
